About this Project

1- The Construction of 2 extensions in the Terminal 1 ( T1 ) as additional passenger gates in to increase the annual passengers capacity of the Kuwait International Airport (KIA) by additional 50% - as follows : • The Construction of Gate A ( Alpha ) - with all the Civil and MEP works necessary for final handover and operation of this extension It consists of 2 Levels: GF Level: 4 Ground Gates (Gates: 9 + 10 + 27 + 28) + FF Level: Lounges and Restaurants area With a total area of: 4000 m2 • The Construction of Gate B ( Beta ) - with all the Civil and MEP works necessary for final handover and operation of this extension It consists of 2 Levels: GF Level: 2 Ground Gates (Gates: B3 + B4) + FF Level: 2 Gates with Passenger Boarding Bridges (Gates: B1 + B2) With a total area of: 3000 m2. 2- Renovation and Change the whole internal design concept of the Passenger Terminal 1 (T1) for the Departures and Arrivals Areas as follows : • Renovate all the departures gates as the new architectural internal design concept : The East wing ( Gates : 1,2,3,4,5) + West wing ( Gates : 20,21,22,23,24,25,26 ) • Renovate the Transit Area in the FF level as the new architectural internal design concept • Renovate the Customs and Baggage Claim Area in the GF level as the new architectural internal design concept 3- Structural support and strengthening for the Terminal 1 Building (T1) – with all its levels (BF,GF,FF). 4- Renovation and Maintenance works in Airport Apron , administrate buildings and supporting facilities outside the passenger terminal.
